Plantain (Mizuzu)

Plantains are large, starchy tropical fruits that resemble bananas. When unripe, they are green, but as they ripen, they turn yellow and finally dark.

They are commonly found in meals from Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America. 

They are cooked through frying them in oil.
